It’s time to quiet that inner critic.

Holistic therapy for mental health & wellness.

I treat anxiety, depression & trauma, yes, but also chronic illness, struggles with shame, difficulties in relationships and even the “i don’t know what’s wrong” feelings.

I work with women on a variety of topics from true mental health like anxiety, depression and trauma. But I do a lot more work on topics like managing shame responses, building better relationships, parenting in better ways. I help people move from feelings of stuckness to freedom and wholeness. Sometimes grief amplifies difficulties that have always been there and sometimes grief causes a numbing that feels it will last forever. I hold special training with grief. Many times it feels like the stress of life is too overwhleming and coping skills that used to work no longer do. This is a great time to address things in therapy and simply learn new skills. Learning a couple new skills can often times reinvigorate life purpose and a sense of direction that was previously hard to connect with in this chaotic world.

Although I no longer focus soley on family work, I still have a systems/family perspective and will occasionally include family members if it makes sense. Everyone gets stuck sometimes and when they need to find a new way forward I am here to help. In therapy you will learn,

  • A holistic approach to wellness and emotional health.

  • Creative ways to resolve emotional and physical stress.

  • Ways to build a mind-body-spirit insight to listen to themselves and gain deeper understanding into why things are this way now.

  • Faith based interventions if that makes sense for you.

  • Effective coping skills that are actually helpful.

  • How to plan to sustain the change made in therapy on their own and well into the future.

And everyone will be treated with warmth, respect & a customized experience just for you. No cookie cutter therapy or canned responses trying to make you fit into a box.

It’s time to take a deeper look at youself, are you ready?

How therapy works

You can do hard things & create a vibrant life.

We will work together to identify the area you are stuck in, look at the things you feel are holding you back and customize the tools you need to get back on track. Whether you have mental health issues like anxiety, depression and trauma that have been hard to overcome, or chronic pain & illness, or just wonder why you can’t get to where you want. We will ultimately create pathways to get to the life you want to have. We will work to deepen your understanding of how you got here, how you cultivate new skills to help you go farther and choose tools that will enrich your sense of purpose and meaning. We will do hard things, but you don’t have to do it alone. I love this quote from Brene Brown:

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilties is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

This is discriptive of the therapy journey, what ever the problem that brings you here that is not the primary issue, finding a way to embrace the life you were created for and cultivating a deep, rich, vibrant life, that is what true therapy will do. We all long for a life that embodies who we want to be, come join the journey with me!

Some clients have worked on things in the past in therapy and have names or diagnosis language they use. But at the end of the day almost all of my clients just want to feel better. If that’s you give me a call.

  • For almost 20 years all I did was Christian counseling. I have a deep rooted Christian faith that guides my values sustains my heart. In my private practice I found that I wanted to do more than that. So I opened my practice up to all people. But if you desire a specifically faith based approach that is available in how I think about clients customizing the care that they want in therapy. If you are not a Christian we would not include that in your customization.
