Meet Jodi Top LCSW

Hope, Courage, & Wholeness.

Life doesn’t have to be overwhelming, we can discover what is holding you back.

You’re in the right place.

I’m here to help you face hard things.

I specialize in teens & women who desire healthy lives & relationships. I love working with those trying to break cycles of anxiety and self-doubt. Those trying to change how the past impacts now. Adoptive families trying to find their way to healthier responses hold a special place for me in practice as I too, am an adopted kid. I support my clients in letting go of harmful patterns & learning new skills so they can live their most authentic, fully embodied life. I am a Certified Grief Professional, so I maintain yearly training about grief so I can use the best skills for my grieving clients & those who didn’t know loss was actually part of their journey.

I have been told that I am gifted in working with teens and their complex lives to help them feel confident, courageous and capable of managing their emotions & their budding identity. It takes a special compassion to work with kids who are angsty and struggling with mood, school, anxiety & peers.

My style is warm and relaxed, eclectic and holistic. There isn’t a lot at this point in my career that I haven’t seen & I still love the work I do. I use my 25+ years of experience to customize the therapy experience to each client and their unique needs. I have extra training in aroma therapy, somatic breath work, nutrition, neuroscience & Christian faith to build the best whole person perspective possible. I support my clients in finding answers by offering honest reflection and integrative tools. This includes also planning for sustainability and future stress so clients leave therapy with a sense of lasting change.

My style

I believe that every client deserves the best.

Someone once told me that my presence was so calming that it made him just want to tell me his whole life story. I was just eating watermelon at a picnic at the time. But if you need to be comfortable with someone before you can get started, then I am the therapist for you. My style is high warmth, and from that place of confidence and regard is where we work with intent. I believe that therapy is a relationship first. Safety is what allows hard work to be done.

I also believe that not every day in therapy needs to be hard work, some days require slowing down, talking about daily things in order to re-energize for the hard stuff. So if the idea of hard all the time is too intimidating this is the place for you to work at your pace rather than mine.

My office is filled with fidgits and fuzzy blankets for your most comfy experience.

My guiding principles

Courage

Congratulations. You were brave enough to start & that took courage. Now take one more step.
